With the new currency notes being the talk of the town, the change in design and colors plays a very important part in this process of change. A lot of new features have been incorporated in the new design of the currency notes with color being one of them. The new 2000 rupee note is Magenta in colour.
The size of the note is 66*166mm which is reduced in comparison to the defunct Rs. 1000 note. The Design and Print of Rs. 2000 notes is by Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India Limited (SPMCIL), a finance ministry company.
