ONDC
Also called Open Network for Digital Commerce
The Open Network for Digital Commerce, a not-for-profit network set up with the backing of DPIIT that lets any buyer app show products from any seller app on the network, so sellers are not tied to one marketplace.
Why it matters
For a seller it can mean reaching buyers on several apps through one listing, often at lower commissions; for a startup building a buyer or seller app it is open infrastructure to plug into. How much it adds depends on the category and the buyer apps active in it, so test it as an extra channel.
For example
A Jaipur handicrafts brand lists once through a seller app on ONDC, and its products appear in several buyer apps without separate marketplace listings.
