What we collect
When you sign up, we store your email (for sign-in), your name, the city you're in, what you're working on, and the things you said you're looking for. If you upload a profile photo, that's stored too.
How we use it
To send you a sign-in link when you ask for one. To show your profile on the network, where other founders (and anyone visiting eChai) can find you. To email you about events you've registered for, and the weekly newsletter if you've opted in. You control what email you get from your Account & privacy page.
Who can see it
Your profile is public on eChai, so anyone can find you and see what you're building. Your email isn't shown on your profile, it's used to sign you in and to send the things you've turned on in your account, like event updates and the weekly newsletter. You can change or stop those any time from your Account & privacy page.
Cookies
A single cookie keeps you signed in.
Your rights and controls
When you're signed in, your Account & privacy page gives you full control: see exactly what we hold and the email we've sent you, turn the newsletter or all eChai email on or off, download a copy of your data, or delete your account.
Removing your data
Delete your account yourself from your Account & privacy page, or email [email protected] and we'll remove your account and everything tied to it within a week.
