Is the AI already inside WhatsApp or Microsoft Office good enough, or do I need a separate app?

For quick questions it can be. Meta AI is free inside WhatsApp: open it from the Chats tab or forward a message to it, and the Meta AI app's Thinking mode now runs Meta's Muse Spark 1.1. Copilot has a free version, and with Microsoft 365 it works inside Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, from ₹689 a month in India. Google AI Pro does the same for Gmail and Docs. These are widely used: Pew found 17% of US adults use Copilot and 14% Meta AI. The limit is depth. Ethan Mollick finds Copilot fine for office documents but well behind on agents, so for long writing or research a dedicated assistant does more.
