The coveted event, to be held on Saturday at Hotel Crowne Plaza, will be hosted by ReDi - 'Responsibly Digital’, a social initiative to promote responsible digital behavior, in partnership with UNICEF India.
On the impact of digital media, Kumar Manish, co-organizer of the event, said 'Social media is a highly dynamic communication medium, evolving at a pace faster than we can imagine. With features being updated every second-day thanks to technological developments, there’s a growing need for businesses and organizations to keep up with the trends while not compromising on security. Also, it’s important to inculcate responsible digital behavior to fight menace of fake news.”
Renowned professionals from the digital domain from across the country will deliberate on these trends, train social media enthusiasts in the city, and update marketers on latest leanings and policies while conducting a string of hands-on workshops. Harpreet Dhody, Digital Media and Public Policy Communication Advisor to Government of Chhattisgarh will be speaking on ‘Political Marketing’ for digital natives to understand the ins and outs of the role of digital media in engaging voters. The speaker will elucidate a case study based on the use of social media by the Government of Chhattisgarh to highlight the growing need for involvement of digital media in political campaigns.
