Visual design rules you can safely follow every time

A short, illustrated checklist of rules that are safe to follow when you have no design intuition yet. Never use pure black or pure white, saturate your grays, keep contrast high on important elements, and make every choice deliberate. It is the kind of list you keep open in a tab while you work.

- Give your grays a hint of your accent hue so they feel cohesive
- Every spacing and alignment choice should be intentional, not accidental
