Over the past week, we had the privilege of hosting our exclusive business meetup in India, "Unlocking Japan: Market Entry & Business Growth," at the IIT Madras Research Park (IITMRP), Chennai, and the Bangalore International Centre, Bangalore

It was amazing to connect with so many startup founders and investors . I shared my journey as the Founder & CEO of FOX Academy KK, Japan, and a Hokkaido Government-Startup Visa Holder, along with tips on:

✨ How to enter the Japanese market
✨ Building a strong presence in one of the world’s toughest markets
✨ My experience getting both the Startup Visa and Business Manager Visa

This Saturday at Draper Startup House India , we discussed about Building Startup teams and culture. Mohit Sharma spoke about an ai powered automated food making device that chops cuts sautes weighs boils steams and cooks all in one with step by step procedure with video guidance!! by upliance.ai. we debated about “jain briyani” No we wont tell you what is it, ask Ashfin Francis if want to know 😋

I am super impressed with the composed passionate and sincere founder in Mrinal Rai who was very kind and humble with every soul who meets him !! he felt like a dream founder to me and loved to know the culture they strive to build in his company Intugine - Logistics through Innovation , that makes supply chain movements predictable and has latest updates at all times and effectively improve gdp itself if implemented at country level!! massive respect to the startup. he talked about the importance of PMF ( product market fit )

His advice
- treat first customers as team members, they offer a lot
- Team and problem statement is important
- Market pulls product out of the starup rather than startups pushing them ( they do push a bit initially)
- No Super star engineers needed, bad for company in long run

and the mystery Satya Bar , i didnt know until today 😀

the session was well hosted by Wanderfly.in founder Penchala Tharun 🚀

this is the first session i was fully attentive without active effort as it was super entertaining, the host and the guests were super entertaining!!

thank you eChai Ventures
For an entire week, Nihal Ahamed M and I found ourselves venting our frustrations about feeling underwhelmed with the current community activities for early-stage founders. We were eager to take our eChai Ventures Chennai Chapter to the next level but felt like we were searching in the dark.

That was until we met the Sai Ranganathan AVP of StartupTN. His drive, wise thoughts, and inclusive strategy for the TN startup ecosystem left me pleasantly surprised. It’s easy to get lost in one vertical and believe it’s the only one that matters, but his insights inspired me to think broader, more comprehensively, and with an eye on the future.

It was the push we needed at the right time. Now, something is cooking, and things are brewing! I’m absolutely excited and can’t wait to take this to the next level.

A big thank you to Bala Subramanian for setting up this meeting!
This past Saturday, I had breakfast with 4 amazing founders and snagged two leads for my own #MicroSaaS!🤩

In a small, relaxed setting like a cafe, conversations become incredibly focused and insightful.

Here's why I loved it 👇🏻

✅ Deep Dives: Each founder had the chance to delve into their product and their current challenges. It was a true exchange of ideas and experiences.

✅ Candid Connections: Unlike the usual "pitch perfect" environment, the breakfast table fostered open dialogue. Everyone felt comfortable sharing honestly, without fear of judgment.

This "Breakfast Social" format proved to be a fantastic way to:

Learn from Each Other 🙌🏻 We all gained valuable insights from hearing each other's stories and perspectives.

Build Stronger Connections 🥂 The relaxed setting fostered deeper connections than a typical networking event.

Understand the Ecosystem ✨ It provided a valuable glimpse into the current startup landscape.

Who's interested in joining the next Breakfast Social? ‍👀

Just back from 'Demo Day' organized by eChai Ventures.🎢

Picture this: it's like speed dating for entrepreneurs – you're not there to find a date, but to scout the future of your business!

The event was a blend of startups, businesses, and investors.

New ventures had their moment in the spotlight, sharing their visions and getting early feedback – minus the high-pressure environment of a judging panel.

Reflecting on the day, here's what stood out:

💡It was a fantastic opportunity for new startups to get valuable insights and possibly catch an investor’s eye.
💡For seasoned entrepreneurs, it was a space rich in networking opportunities, where business cards were exchanged as eagerly as ideas.
💡The inclusivity was notable: we had a spectrum of attendees from budding entrepreneurs to business experts.

This wasn't just about swapping greetings and LinkedIn profiles.

It was about creating meaningful connections that could steer your business towards exciting new horizons.

A huge shoutout to Nihal Ahamed M and Kirithiga Sundaramoorthy for organizing such an insightful event.

Can't wait for the next one!✨
