Product Backlog
Also called Backlog
The prioritized list of everything a product team might build: features, fixes, and improvements, ordered by importance. Work is pulled from the top of it.
Why it matters
The backlog is where prioritization becomes concrete, what makes the cut and what waits. A well-groomed backlog keeps a team building the highest-value thing next instead of the loudest request.
For example
The product backlog lists 40 possible features ranked by impact; each sprint the team pulls the top few and leaves the rest waiting.
