Sprint
A short, fixed block of time, often one or two weeks, in which a team commits to completing a defined set of work. A core unit of agile development.
Why it matters
Sprints create a steady rhythm of planning, building, and reviewing, which keeps momentum and surfaces problems fast. The cadence matters more than the ritual: regular shipping and reflection beats a big-bang plan.
For example
The team commits to shipping the new onboarding flow in a one-week sprint, and reviews what shipped at the end.
