Closing
Also called Close
The final stage of a deal, getting the prospect to commit and sign, and the skills around it: asking for the business, handling last objections, and agreeing terms.
Why it matters
Closing is where all the earlier work either converts to revenue or does not, and a fear of asking for the sale sinks many otherwise good deals. It rewards clarity and confidence built on genuine value, not high-pressure tricks.
For example
After weeks of demos and a pilot, the rep asks directly, 'if we solve the security concern, are you ready to sign this month?', and closes the deal.
