Daily Active Users
Also called DAU
Daily active users: the number of unique people who used your product on a given day. The tighter cousin of MAU.
Why it matters
DAU matters most for products meant to be used daily, where it signals habit. Comparing DAU to MAU (stickiness) tells you whether people keep coming back or just visit occasionally.
For example
A habit app has 2,00,000 people open it on a given day, its daily active users.
