Hiring Funnel
The stages candidates move through, sourcing, screening, interviews, offer, with fewer surviving each step. The recruiting equivalent of a sales funnel.
Why it matters
Viewing hiring as a funnel shows where you lose good candidates, too few applicants, a slow process, weak offers, and what to fix. Treating recruiting with the same rigor as sales is what lets a startup hire well at scale.
For example
The team sources 200 candidates, screens 40, interviews 12, and makes 2 offers, then studies where good people dropped off to fix the funnel.
