Rolling Fund

A venture fund that accepts new capital and makes investments on a rolling quarterly basis, rather than raising one closed pool. Popularized by AngelList.

Why it matters

Rolling funds lower the barrier for new fund managers to start investing and for LPs to subscribe like a membership. They are part of how the investor base has broadened beyond traditional VC.

For example

An operator-turned-investor runs a rolling fund on AngelList, accepting new LP subscriptions each quarter and investing as deals come, rather than raising one closed pool.
