Solo Founder
Also called Solopreneur
Someone who starts a company alone, without a co-founder. Also called a solopreneur when the business stays deliberately small and self-run.
Why it matters
Going solo means full control and no co-founder conflict, but also no one to share the load, decisions, or morale with. Some investors prefer teams, so solo founders should be clear-eyed about the trade-offs and build support around them.
