Upsell

Selling an existing customer a higher tier, more capacity, or a premium version, increasing what they pay. A key source of expansion revenue.

Why it matters

Upselling grows revenue from customers you already won, which is far cheaper than acquiring new ones. Products designed so customers naturally outgrow their plan make upselling a durable growth engine.

For example

A customer on the 5,000-rupee plan hits its limits and is moved to the 15,000-rupee tier, growing revenue without a new acquisition.
