Sarasvathy TK - Hyperreal Food Artist

Sarasvathy TK

Hyperreal Food Artist

Sarasvathy TK is a New Jersey based painter that creates hyper realistic oil paintings of Indian food, seeking to create social connections and examining how narratives of food travel across generations and oceans. Sarasvathy began drawing and painting while she was traveling internationally for her work in computer science, which she studied in India. After working on projects in the UAE and Singapore, she moved to New Jersey, in 2017 focusing on hyper realistic depictions of food. Inspired by Dutch masters from the Baroque period, she experimented with enlarging and magnifying food to create intricate details and an expansive view.. Sarasvathy TK is an award-winning artist and has received accolades from a variety of American and foreign art institutions, such as the International Guild of Realism. She has been shortlisted for several major art awards in the U.S. and has received the Award of Merit from the American Women Artist Association in 2020. Her work has been exhibited and presented in both commercial galleries and institutional museums throughout the country, such as Monmouth Museum New Jersey, Salmagundi NY and Affordable Art Fair Singapore.

The eChai Effect - In Their Words

"From late-night brainstorming over chai to early morning founder calls, eChai has been more than just a network for me; it’s been home base for ideas, impact, and inspiration. What started as a simple meetup years ago turned into a powerful movement, connecting founders, creators, and dreamers. I’ve had the privilege of seeing startups find product-market fit, marketers (like me) find unexpected collaborations, and most importantly, people finding their tribe. संगच्छध्वं संवदध्वं – Let us move together, speak together. It’s not just a verse from the Rigveda — it’s how Jatin and the entire eChai community truly operate. We don’t just network, we grow together. Forever grateful to be a part of the eChai Effect.

"eChai is playing biggest role in my personal and professional life together. Its a community where i meet like minded people to share idea and learn from their idea. Even while playing cricket i learn something and i implement something new from that learning. Its my entry point for building network in different countries where my base is not established yet. Personally my only fun activity day in a week is eChai cricket and social."

"For me, eChai is a second home. I've been associated with it since the early days, when it was already setting a different tone for how startup communities could work. As a traditional business owner entering the new-age D2C space, eChai supported me in every direction. Over the years, it became my window to the startup world — and also gave me lifelong friends who continue to show up, for business and beyond."
