Saurya Mishra, the Founder of Articulus Surgical is grad and post-grad from IIT Kharagpur in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Manufacturing (with focus on robotics and control systems). He has spent over a decade working on robotics and complex control systems (including making India’s first adult humanoid project) and over a decade in medical devices. He has strong knowledge of end-to-end development of products – from requirements to development, and compliance all the way to deployment. He has developed many major medical devices in my career, mostly made in India and deployed globally.

In addition, he has extensive connections into the Hospital and Surgeon’s network in India and has been closely associated with the Healthcare ecosystem in India and abroad. He has been a part of the research and development team at Philips India Healthcare and has also headed R&D as a part of the early team of Morphle Labs, a YC-funded start-up in Robotic Pathology.

Saurya has been awarded multiple national and International accolades including the Fellowship of the Royal Academy of Engineers, UK. He is very keen on the make-in-India-for-the-world dream and ultimately intends to make India the Medical device capital of the world.
