GST - Impact Analysis & Switch Over Issues
December 17, 2016
Saturday
This program aims to facilitate manufacturers, contractors, traders and service providers to manage the transition in a tax-efficient manner including basic guidelines on how to do an impact analysis.
It has been announced that the present consumption taxes, i.e. VAT, Excise and Services Tax, will be replaced by the broad-based multi-stage Goods and Services Tax (GST) on 1st April 2017.
Specific switch over provisions have been included in the GST Bill, but there are many issues not mentioned in such provisions. The solution to such issues lies in the understanding of the GST framework. Failure to manage the transition would result in high cost.
