Niharika Sanyal is an architect, deeply interested in how the built environment affects us as emotional beings. Her design thesis at CEPT University, Ahmedabad, received a national award for its search to humanize prisons. She is part of the global Rooms Research Collective on architecture and neuroscience, as Head of Area (South Asia).
