More about Ashwin Madhavan
Hey there! I am Ashwin Madhavan, a lawyer by profession and a serial entrepreneur in practice. Technology has always fascinated me more than the practice of law. My newest startup is a deep-tech AI video creation platform called vidBoard.
vidBoard.ai is a SAAS platform that converts texts to videos featuring humans in minutes. In short our platform can convert a human photograph into a talking human without the need to go to any studio, with just text as input.
The idea to start vidBoard came to me out of a necessity. While running enhelion.com (my first startup) one of India's largest online legal education platforms, we were finding it extremely difficult to create video content for our courses and were looking for a technical solution that could help us solve this problem. We realised that the only way possible was through the AI route.
vidBoard Beta was #1 on Product Hunt. The response has been tremendous.
During my previous full time entrepreneurial stint with Enhelion.com, since 2013, we trained more than 50,000 students and collaborated with leading institutions and companies such as Bloomsbury Publishing Inc, to provide affordable courses to the masses in India. We successfully managed to bootstrap Enhelion since it's inception.
On the education front, I have two Masters in law [with specialization in Technology and the Law]: one from Dalhousie University and another from University of Oslo. I have authored three books published by renowned publishers, Sage and Bloomsbury. One of my books has been translated into Mandarin as well.
I am based in Gurgaon, India. I love to travel and meet people. I am an avid reader of business, history, biographies and technology. During my free time, I pick up a country and travel. I can play the piano and I am also a trained singer. I love dogs and I am proud parent of an extremely naughty chocolate brown labrador, who is named Bo - Barack Obama in short, who happens to be my hero.
