More about Saumya Shah
Saumya is the co-founder of tarrakki is a wealth tech infrastructure platform. It provides plug and play solution for fin-techs to quickly launch wealth products on their platform. We are helping most ambitious startups and large businesses to re-imagine wealth management for their end customers by offering a suite of SDKs to APIs to choose from. tarrakki also runs a D2C wealth management application available on android and IOS. Elevo (www.elevo.money), a brand of tarrakki, is India's first digital investment platform for corporates, NRIs, Minors.
Before moving back to India to launch Tarrakki, Saumya worked with Deloitte Advisory in New York. He worked with their Financial Institutions Group and advised on multiple M&A transactions, private debt and equity valuations, and purchase price allocations.
The offer to join Deloitte came for Saumya when he was completing his MBA from Fordham University - Gabelli School of Business. Along with his MBA, he was also the treasurer of the Fordham Finance Society; he interned as an Equity Research Associate at Axiom Capital, covering internet stocks, and also worked as a part-time teaching associate at 'Training The Street' where he assisted classes on financial modelling, excel best practices, and more.
Before his MBA, he was working with IL&FS Capital Advisors, Mumbai with their investment banking division. IL&FS Capital Advisors focused on a wide range of financial advisory solutions for IPOs, FPOs, rights issues, PIPE, and buybacks. Saumya was also actively involved in various live deals, due diligence processes, preparing pitch books, new business development, and valuations of various private companies.
Prior to IL&FS, Saumya worked at Tata Capital with their Graduate-Trainee program.
Saumya has worked across two countries (US and India) and 4 sectors (Internet, Media, Infrastructure, and Financial Institutions)
