Paithani are Indian Origin, heritage sarees handwoven by skilled weavers who bring out sophisticated pieces of art to life on Handlooms. Yeola, Maharashtra has been the hub of paithani making since the early 17th century. Our story also comes from this land of silk, where the business of paithani still embarks as its speciality. Slony, founder of Very Much Indian is daughter of a textile business family based in Yeola. The foundation of becoming a skilled business woman was laid The foundation for her business acumen was laid as a child when she used to sit in her father’s textile store. She managed clients, accounts and soon learned the nuances of managing the store as well.

After her MBA, she subsequently led a corporate life of 10 years and all along she knew that she wasn't meant to be there. And one fine day, in 2016 she decided to quit her job and lead her life to bring her true ambition to life. She started with taking 15 sarees at loan from her father and sold it all with many challenges. Initially her father didn't like her idea of leaving a financially stable job to set up her business, but with support from her husband she went ahead to make her dream come true. Foundation of Very Much Indian was laid then.

Very Much Indian is a brand which believes in reviving & revealing all the long gone heritage sarees back to life for new generations. Paithani being the core of this brand, they are available in pure silk & pure cotton fabric. Also known as pattu saree, they are manufactured on handloom. Made with sheer precision and sophistication, these sarees take from a week to more than a month sometimes to come to life. Yet the shine and finish of Paithani is unmatchable. Beautiful Buttis laid all over the saree with sophisticated border, the pallu of this saree also has its own charm. With a community of 400+ weavers all across India, Very Much Indian belives that it is a brand Powered by handloom & art.
