• Chartered Accountant and Economics graduate with 25 years of finance, strategic planning and treasury experience in the industrial, telecoms and IT industries.
• Currently working Lead Angels as Finance Partner and Head – Professional Services. My task is to evaluate and structure investments in startups and help startups with financial decision making, and prepare them for growth through funding. I have setup and operationalised a Rs.300 Crs. SEBI registered Category 1 Alternate Investment Fund (AIF) Angel Fund;
• Last employment with Sterling and Wilson Co-gen Solutions Pvt. Ltd. as CFO, looking after M&A, optimizing cashflows, financial reporting and ensure statutory and regulatory compliance for the gas EPC businesses of Sterling and Wilson in India, the Middle East, Italy, Africa and USA.
• Immediately prior to this I was CFO of Tata Value Homes Ltd.
• Earlier worked with Greaves Cotton Limited (GCL), as Financial Controller of 5 Business Units – Automotive Engines; Aftermarket; International Business and Auxiliary Power and Industrial Engines. These units have a total turnover of Rs.1600 Crs.(USD 240 M). Due to various initiatives, we worked to raise the operating margin by over 3% with a corresponding improvement in free cashflows.
• In GCL also worked as Head - Corporate Planning for 5 years, in charge of strategic business analysis, investment planning, budgeting and MIS.I completed two overseas acquisitions for the group.
• Prior to this, was working with Siemens AG (6 years) in infrastructure finance advisory - providing structured financing for telecoms and other business lines in India and S. Asia.
