How long does SEO take to actually bring in traffic?

The short answer

Realistically months, often 6-12, before content ranks and traffic compounds, it's a long game with a big payoff, not a quick win. Set the foundations now (site structure, a few strong pages) so the compounding starts as early as possible. If you need revenue this quarter, SEO is a bad primary channel.
