What is DPIIT / Startup India recognition and is it worth getting?

DPIIT recognition under Startup India is a free government registration that unlocks tax benefits, self-certification on labour laws, faster IP processing, and eligibility for government schemes, and it's fast, often approved within days. For an eligible Pvt Ltd or LLP under ten years old, there's little reason not to get it. Apply online after incorporation; the certificate opens real doors with the exemptions.
