Building the Product

How do I actually validate my idea with a no-code prototype before I sink weeks into building the real thing?

A starting point

You don't need a working product to validate, you need enough of one that a stranger will click, sign up, or pay. A clickable Figma flow or a single Carrd landing page with a real signup form usually tells you more in a weekend than a fully built no-code app does in a month. Treat the prototype as a question you are asking the market, not a thing you are shipping.

Why we picked it This is Figma's own beginner walkthrough of turning static screens into a clickable flow, which is exactly how you fake a working product without building anything. You link frames with triggers and actions, then hand someone a demo they can tap through as if it were real. It is enough to test whether people understand and want your flow before a single line of code.

Figma Prototype Tutorial for Beginners

On youtube.com by Figma

  • Every Figma prototype is just a trigger (a tap or click) connected to an action (jump to another frame), so a clickable demo is faster to make than it looks.
  • A tap-through prototype lets real users try your flow and react, which surfaces confusion early while changing anything still costs minutes, not weeks.

Why we picked it The permission slip to recruit users by hand, do things manually, and deliver 'insanely great' experiences to your first few customers. The cheapest, most honest way to validate demand is to go get it one person at a time.

Do Things That Don't Scale

  • Recruit your first users manually, don't wait for them to come.
  • A tiny group of users who love you beats a big group who like you.
  • Manual, unscalable effort early is a feature, not a failure.
