I am Krishna Gupta, on an inspired mission to Secure Cyber Risk by simulating that of malicious adversaries to find and fix the security gaps in the entire information infrastructure.
Namaste or Namaskara has become my 'personal branding'. I greet people with Namaste and no shake hands exchanged. You may read more about the significance of Namaste in Information Security.
I am passionate about Apple Mac and Information Security. I live my dreams of building a bootstrapped Information Security startup, OMVAPT Private Limited, incorporated in Bengaluru in 2016. And OMVAPT OÜ was incorporated in Tallinn, Estonia, in 2019. To celebrate the 6th Work Anniversary of OMVAPT (in India), We did a soft launch (Beta) of Fix a Risk in 2022.
We are securing the risk of #MoonLighting, #Cyber_Security_Skills_Gap
and #The_Great_Resignation We have launched a Cyber Security focussed freelancing platform - FixaRisk (in beta) - for IT (Cyber Defenders) and Offensive Security Experts such as Penetration Testers (Ethical Hackers).

I have over two decades of work experience in the Information Technology & Information Security domain. I have worked with multi-domain environments on Linux, Windows & Apple Macintosh Servers. I have worked both as a Systems Integrator and Systems Administrator, which has helped me to view the broader and in-depth perspective of Information Technology & Information Security. My work is one of the greatest satisfactions and allies in my life.

Security is the first thought and certainly not an afterthought. A dedicated Information Security Officer is a quintessential requirement for any organisation. I am proactive, visionary and solution-oriented, with proven analytic and sound leadership qualities.
I use my time wisely and make every day count by doing the work that is truly most important and meaningful, and that genuinely inspires me, and I am left with more energy and time to spare. I prioritise my daily work and delegate other lower-priority actions to qualified and wise people.
I work efficiently, so I do the right job. I work effectively, so I do the job right. I focus on achieving results that productively serve and inspire everyone around me.
I believe working 40 hours a week on weekdays will enhance productivity, thus aligning my life with work-life balance by relaxing and rejuvenating at the weekends.

I was an IT Generalist, providing solutions to defence verticals such as ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) & DRDO (Defence Research & Development Organization), predominantly in Bengaluru and Hassan. I have also bagged a vast Network Monitoring and Management Solution order for an automobile giant - Toyota.

My dedication towards work and excellent reporting managers (both Managing Director & Vice President) has led me to enable the organisation to go through the certification phase of ISO 27001:2005 from BSI (British Standards Institute) without any non-conformities (NCs).
I played multiple roles: Internal Lead Auditor, Vulnerability Manager, ISMS Manager and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). To put it at ease, I did both implementations of ISMS and verified the functionality whether it is working fine as an Internal Lead Auditor. I have used Nessus & Metasploit to find the vulnerabilities and assisted the IT team to remediate the discovered vulnerabilities.
I received multiple promotions and was eligible for three salary hikes, yet I received only one salary hike of 100%.

I became the Global Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for the entire Vulnerability Management and Assessment-using Qualys for a Fortune 500 company. I used to perform Vulnerability Assessments of over 25K+ devices, including servers and networks.
