I have over 15 years of experience as a research scientist in the field of immunology and virology. I have had the opportunity to work with several prestigious institutes and universities across the UK, Europe, and India, including high-containment BL-3 labs. The results of my work have been published in multiple reputed peer-reviewed journals.
After graduating from the University of Edinburgh, I worked at Pfizer before pursuing my Ph.D. in Immunology from Switzerland.
Following my PhD, I worked as a postdoc in Switzerland, Belgium and United Kingdom (where I currently reside) researching on topics such as senescence, influenza and COVID. In 2021-22, I was fortunate enough to be a part of a pan-European team of scientists researching on the adverse effects of COVID-19 vaccine on patients with compromised liver function.
I am passionate about developing immunotherapeutics and vaccines and am profoundly interested in teaching. I have experience in setting up labs and have imparted training in cutting-edge techniques in the field of immunology, cell biology, molecular biology, and virology.
I also have experience in writing grants and raising funds for projects.
However, in spite of my deep love for fundamental research, I felt a deep sense of belonging in the field of entrepreneurship. Therefore, in March 2023, I founded Biosciency which is an edtech focussed on life science subjects from K12 to PhD levels. Biosciency creates visual aids to facilitate understanding of complex concepts, making it easier to retain and eventually score well in the tests. Adaptive tests help the students gauge their understanding and improve on focus areas. We are at a nascent stage with a young team, but we have big dreams and aim to bring a refreshing way of learning Biology, Immunology and other life science subjects.
