A deeptech meetup in April, a founding engineer role in June

Kshitij Vaze met the Rhygen team when they were guests at an eChai deeptech meetup in April. He is joining them as a founding engineer on firmware.

Since I am on a small winstreak, here's another one.

I am joining @rhygentech as a founding engineer (firmware) in June, to work on tech that hybridizes energy at its source.

I met these guys at a deeptech meetup by @eChaiVentures in April, where they were invited as guests for a panel discussion. I sat in the crowd and heard them talk about their product, philosophy and plans for an hour and a half, and I was mesmerized, to say the very least.

Once the panel wrapped up and networking commenced, I simply introduced myself to them and spoke about my work within IoT, college robotics and my general liking for embedded systems and software.

Turns out, they were looking to hire a firmware engineer, and I agreed to interview. I think we spoke for about 8-9 hours throughout the process, which concluded with me spending a day at IIT-B, where I met the team and got a look at the labs, prototypes and tech they’ve developed.

Life’s about to take a pivotal turn, and it’s up to me to make it all for the better. I chose this because it offers a role that uses math and physics to solve a very real problem, one that’s only going to get worse as time progresses. Working on a solution for that, at a time where the problem actually matters, feels like being at the right place at the right time.

It gives me a chance to combine my love for math, fascination with mechanics, passion for embedded systems and interest in physics into the thing I’ll spend most of my waking hours doing.

And honestly, when an opportunity lines up with everything you naturally gravitate toward, what reason do you really have not to stretch your limits, and then some more?
