What We Do

In the year 2009, when I shifted to Mumbai from Gujarat I realized that there is a major difference between the hair oil that I use and the ones that were available in the market. These products were not as pure as they claim to be. Inorder to solve this problem, I took resort from my ancestral Ayurvedic book "Aryabhishak" along with the hair oil recipe given to me by my grandmother to create the brand Mom's Therapy. Our brand offers the finest, purest, organically grown, highly vibrant oils and herbs crafted with love, for the well-being of your hair and skin.

In my quest for genuine solutions for hair and skin care, I discovered a hidden gem within my family's traditions: black sesame oil. This age-old secret, had been primarily known as a lamp-lighting oil, and has remarkable benefits for skin and hair. Black sesame oil is largely overlooked by the wider market. All my products have Black Sesame Oil as the base oil. In this way my venture offers unmatched and unseen natural remedies for hair and skin health.


How It All Began

The drive that ignited my entrepreneurial journey was the realization that the wellness of my hair and skincare were being compromised by the lack of pure and genuine products or ingredients in the market. I witnessed how the increase of chemical products was affecting not only my own well-being but also those around me. Till date, this self-realization drives my passion to create products and share the wisdom of our own Ayurvedic knowledge to our society. By doing so, Mom's Therapy is not a brand, it's a narrative steeped in family traditions and a sincere dedication to Ayurvedic wisdom passed down through generations. Hence, what drives my journey is not just building a business – but crafting a movement that values authenticity, sustainability, and the well-being of both people and the planet.

What Makes us Tick

Our brand is called Mom's Therapy because the 100 year old herbal ingredients of our hero product, the 'hair oil'  , was given to her by her 'naani' and it  has been passed from one generation of mother to another. Our products are crafted from Black Sesame Oil, and it has many effective jadibuties, and  they have been given a modern touch in today's age. It is completely natural with 0% chemicals for all age groups and gender. Our products don't lead to side effects. This is why we keep getting repeat purchases and 100% customer satisfaction. Although the brand's journey began from my naani's kitchen, it now has its own FDA approved manufacturing unit in Surendranagar, Gujarat.



Traction So Far

Our brand made significant strides in the market with a notable appearance on Shark Tank India, Season 1 propelling us into the spotlight. Besides that, Mom's Therapy has collaborated with Adani Airport, Hyatt hotels, and 30 Planet Health stores across India , 3 Ayurvedam Stores in Mumbai, across all Suta stores in Maharashtra, and one of the gifting store Izzhaar at JUHU and successfully collaborated with Aara health ( Co Founded by Navya Naveli Nanda & Mallika Sahney) for listing Soy Wax candles along with the collaboration with Suta stores. In this way as Mom's Therapy continues to flourish, its impact extends far beyond the realm of business. Krishna's unwavering vision has blossomed into a profound movement that values authenticity, sustainability, and the well-being of both people and the planet. We are sincerely committed to sustainability, embracing eco-friendly packaging and recycling plastic to contribute to environmental well-being. To avoid wastage of gallons of water we have switched to pet bottles that are Indian made and bought from a firm that is registered under CENTRAL POLLUTION CONTROL BOARD. This is one of our humble initiatives for Eco-Consciousness.

Our founder was also listed in the “100 Emerging Women in India” by Your Story along with Femina India acknowledging her entrepreneurial journey in their coveted magazine. Her brand, Mom's Therapy, has actively built a strong presence and reputation. With God’s grace, she has made her mark by participating in numerous forums and earned recognition through esteemed accolades like the Entrepreneurs Award 2018 and the Inorbit Pink Power Award.  
Very recently, she was invited by the French Consulate in Mumbai as one of the speakers where she shared her journey at the “Successful Women in Business: Journeys and Leadership Insights” event hosted by them. Being among the esteemed panelists there was an incredible experience for her. It is very rare for a woman of a Rabari community to achieve all this considering the way they have been brought up, which is why her journey is so unique.

Meet the Team

Women empowerment is a motto that our brand firmly stands by. Our company is owned by 2 women Directors : Our founder and her sister. There are many causes that we support which uplift and inspire women. Every year we make sure that we collaborate with at least one woman entrepreneur, because women joining hands together is a force to reckon with. Not only that, 97% of the staff in our manufacturing unit are women. Our workforce comprises talented women from the most disadvantaged segments of society, particularly underprivileged women. These remarkable women begin their day by sweeping roads, ensuring our community's cleanliness and well-being. In the evenings, they join our team, bringing their skills, dedication, and resilience to our company. One of our team members with prosthetic hands is an integral part of our factory workforce, contributing her skills to drive our success.

The Ayurvedic hair and skincare industry is experiencing significant growth, there is a rising demand for natural and organic products. Consumers are seeking holistic approaches to healthcare, driving demand for Ayurvedic products that promote overall well-being. Brands are incorporating eco-friendly packaging, sourcing natural ingredients, and promoting sustainable practices to appeal to environmentally conscious consumers. Our brand Mom's Therapy has products that are crafted with Black Sesame Oil, and are also loaded with other 100 year old effective jadibuties. It is completely natural with 0% chemicals which can be used by people of all age groups without any side effects. Our brand goal is to provide effective products that are built on the principles of Ayurveda and are accessible to all. We are sincerely committed to sustainability, embracing eco-friendly packaging and recycling plastic to contribute to environmental well-being. In this way, we are keeping up with the current times and moving ahead with our brand values in place.

Challenges We’ve Overcome

The primary challenge I faced as an entrepreneur was coming from a Rabari Community where women are hardly given opportunities or wings to fly. With a bootstrap investment of ₹1 lakh, I embarked on this venture of nourishing body, mind, and soul. But, as fate would have it, government formalities took their toll. What remained was just ₹22,000 - a fraction of my initial investment. Undeterred, we saw this as an opportunity to persevere, and to stay true to our purpose.

I also had to face judgements, questioning, and discouragement by the society for giving up on my lawyership. Another major challenge was to educate people on the importance of following Ayurvedic beauty secrets for Indians,  instead of blindly following the Western beauty trends. Adding on to that, people are also attracted to beauty products just based on their packaging instead of  valuing what's used inside these products. It is difficult to change this mindset of the consumer. Last but not the least, a major challenge was people underestimating and discriminating against female entrepreneurs, and the stigma we face at work on a regular basis. But I was hell bent on overcoming these setbacks by having an undefeatable and perseverent mindset.

Where We're Headed

The Ayurvedic hair and skin care market is growing rapidly, driven by the increasing demand for natural and holistic products. Just like how Colgate as a brand is considered synonymous to brushing, we wish Mom's therapy to be synonymous to hair and skincare. We do not merely seek to be a brand; we wish to be a medium for holistic well-being, a tribute to the offerings of Ayurveda, with a deep promise to enhance lives through the fusion of traditions and modernity. We are actively participating in cultural events for local engagement, collaborating with celebrities and beauty influencers, providing a wide range of home services,launching pop-ups in major shopping districts, etc to get us closer to our vision. We wish to achieve a 50% sales increase over this year through targeted marketing and product diversification. By prioritizing sustainability and quality, we aim to capture a larger market share, positioning Mom’s Therapy as a leader in the natural Hair care & Skin care segment.
