More about Aditi Mali

Farmer · Academician · Urban Planner · Consultant

I am a town planner, agriculturist, and academician. I hold an MSc in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security from Royal Agricultural University, UK and a Bachelors in Planning from CEPT University, India. My master’s journey made her realize that there is a lack of understanding of food systems in planning education which is very crucial for any settlement and community development. My specialization lies in the marriage of town planning and agricultural themes like rural planning, regional planning, master planning, agriculture, and urban agriculture. I have also published research papers in the same themes. I am a freelance faculty who recently did an Open Elective course at NID on urban agriculture and a visiting studio faculty for the Bachelor of Planning students at IAPNU, Nirma University.

Founder of Mali Greens, an Urban Farm in Ahmedabad.
I was awarded the Young Development Agriculturalist 2021 (overseas based) Award by The Tropical Agricultural Association (TAA), United Kingdom (UK).
Young Development Agriculturalist 2021 (overseas based): Aditi Solanki Mali

I run the company so all the employees are under me like Executive Manager, Farm Manager, Farm Help etc. I look after the marketing, sales, purchase, accounting and business development as well as the research and development at the farm.

We grow microgreens in an indoor vertical farm setup with artificial lights and controlled environment. We are growing more than 20+ variety of microgreens like Broccoli, Radish, Mustard, Spinach, Swiss chard, Kale and many more. We are one of the largest growers of Microgreens in Ahmedabad.
