With a masters in law from the London School of Economics, UK, Goda has anchored the corporate-commercial vertical at AK Law Chambers, India. She brings to the table a rich and varied experience of over 10 years across sectors of software, automobiles technology, ed-tech, fintech, ports, NBFCs, healthcare, shipping, ecommerce and manufacturing. Goda advises early stage startups, growth companies, angel investors, HNIs and funds on several corporate-commercial issues. She prides herself in providing quality yet affordable legal advisory and support.
Goda has a strong market understanding and is able to navigate through complex legal issues of equity-debt financing, exit strategies for investors, transaction structuring which includes foreign parties and FEMA compliances, general contract negotiation, founder compensation and setting up of employee stock options, etc. In addition to this, she specialises in general corporate advisory, mergers & acquisitions and joint ventures in addition to advisory on insolvency and bankruptcy proceedings.
She has several publications to her credit, for The Hindu, The Economic Times, etc, in these areas of practice. Goda is also a qualified Company Secretary. She was awarded the first rank in the Institute of Company Secretaries foundation exam for securing the highest in the State of Karnataka.
