She has been passionate about writing since 8, and her first book Orenda stands taller as a milestone, starting her literary journey as an author. She was invited as a speaker at prestigious literature festivals like Jaipur Literature Festival, Bangalore Lit Fest, Pune International Lit Fest, Orange City Lit Fest, VNIT Nagpur Karwaan Lit Fest and Kalinga Literature Festival. Shalaka’s book Orenda won “Book of the Year - Reader’s Choice” at Kavishala Book Awards 2021 and was listed as #1 on Kindle under the short stories. Orenda has received appreciation from a Sahitya Akademi award-winning author, Namita Gokhale and critically acclaimed filmmaker, Manish Mundra.
She has been invited as a speaker at renowned academic institutes like Lincoln University, Malaysia, Symbiosis International University, and Christ University and forums like Pepper Content, SalesWomentoring, etc.
