MotiMahal, an iconic restaurant in Delhi, and most famous for it’s world-admired recipes like ButterChicken and DalMakhani is now in legal battle with a competing restaurant Daryaganj for misusing its website and restaurant layout, and claims over the creation of these iconic dishes.
Interestingly, while it is relatively new in business, owners Jaggis relate to original Moti Mahal owners trio - Kundan Lal Gujral, Kundan Lal Jaggi and Thakur Das Magu.
The matter is with the Delhi High Court, and it would be interesting to see how it unfolds.
