Entrepreneurial journey: The Hard Way
What didn't work
- Spent too much time trying to find the "perfect" collaborator before building enough momentum.
- Assumed people would understand the vision if I explained it clearly. Most people respond to visible execution, not ideas.
- Focused heavily on creating value and quality, but not enough on distribution and discoverability.
- Easily trusting people just from talks, rather than working together for a while before finalizing long term commitments to have heavy consequences later.
Lessons
- Execution builds trust faster than explanations.
- Simplicity beats complexity, especially in the early stages.
- Over planning doesn't work. Being blunt / to the point can also be good or even better at times.
