Khushi Mittal is the founder of Aspera Industries in Bengaluru. Eureka is their first aircraft: it flies with nobody on board, and retractable hydrofoils in place of a stepped hull let it take off and land on water, so it needs no airport. It is designed to carry 1,000 kg over 2,000 km at under $1 a tonne-kilometre.

For generations, we've pushed the limits of what flight can do.
Yet moving goods still comes with a compromise. The sea takes weeks and flying costs too much. Somewhere along the way, the world got comfortable with waiting.
Today, we announce Eureka, our first aircraft. It takes off and lands on water, and it's designed to turn "in a few weeks" into "on the evening flight."
