    Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for the creation of a Fintech Consumer Protection Index to promote greater transparency and accountability across the sector.

    Speaking at the Global Fintech Fest 2026, Modi said the index could provide a transparent basis for rating fintech companies on consumer protection standards.
