About Next BIG Idea Contest

The Next BIG Idea Contest is an annual feature of Zone Startups India's ecosystem development activities. Through the Contest, our aim is to identify hi-tech, hi-potential Indian startups and provide them a 2-week, fully paid-for soft landing in Toronto, North America's 3rd largest technology hub. While in Toronto, the companies will be housed at the DMZ, Canada and North America's #1 technology incubator; and will get access to a bespoke program including market mentorship, industry connects, investor meetings and a great international exposure.

Over the past 4-years, the Next BIG Idea Contest winners have gone onto raise significant investment. Some of the past winners include CitrusPay (acquired by PayU), Vidooly, ShieldSquare, Plackal, Flip Technologies, AdSparx, Konotor (acquired by FreshDesk). Till date NBI has soft-landed 22 Indian startups in Toronto, Canada and provided them a gateway to North America.
