Jeff Bezos (Founder and CEO, Amazon) rightly said, I knew that if I failed I wouldn't regret that, but I knew the one thing I might regret is not trying.

Since the past 5 years, a lot of books, courses, bootcamps and numerous pep talks on “STARTUPS” have been carried out by experienced entrepreneurs to educate emerging entrepreneurs and startups. If you crawl the web, you’d find gazillions of resources. Here is when it becomes hard for us to decide which resources to count on.

In this Startup Saturday session, we bring to you ‘The Basics Of Starting Up’ - which will be covering Startup’s inception essentials. This session is modularised in a manner which gathers profound experiences, failures and hard-learned lessons of our speakers and brings you the ultimate checklist. Modularising this session is just to follow an event flow, but it awaits to bring to you some immersive stories from our speakers. This session is for:

Students and aspiring entrepreneurs

- Whose 1st startup failed and who want to rise up again (ethically!)
- Who are currently CEO, COO, CMO or co-founder of a startup
- Who are engrossed in their typical day job, but want to gain deep insights on the startup ecosystem!
- Who are working in a startup but the product is failing
- Who has an ample amount of ideas but lacks money and the right team.
- Who have ample amount of money but negligible ideas.

Enroll for the event today and help yourself from getting submerged!

It is a high and wonderful time for you to Start-Up! Now prepare a long list of questions you’ll be asking to speakers of this session - whether it be a silly question or a complex one, be ready with all your questions. We’ll make sure it gets answered in this startup Saturday!

The people

These open and free events are hosted across cities and countries as part of a broader effort to keep the startup ecosystem accessible, inclusive, and connected. You’ll find a diverse mix of participants: early-stage founders, students, aspiring entrepreneurs, professionals exploring transitions, and others curious about the theme. Each event brings a different experience, shaped by the people who show up.

The format

We host panels, talks, socials, open houses, and demo days in different formats. Each individual event listing clearly mentions what’s planned, so you know exactly what kind of experience to expect before you register.

The flow

You can check the exact time and map address of the venue directly on the event page. Once you register, you typically receive four emails: a confirmation, a reminder a day before the event, another on the day itself, and a follow-up after it ends. You can manage your email notifications at any time.

The guest list

The participant list on the event page keeps updating as more people register. Since attendees often sign up through platforms like eChai, Meetup, Eventbrite, and others, the visible numbers may not reflect the complete turnout. Speakers are usually announced three to four days before the event, and you’ll also start seeing featured participants appear as they register.

The context

You can also explore the list of past participants and speakers from each city to get a sense of who typically joins. It offers a glimpse into the kind of conversations, collaborations, and diversity that shape each meetup. Every event has its own purpose, shaped by its theme, setting, and the community that gathers around it.

The experience

Some people come to learn, others to connect, and many just to explore. While the agenda provides structure, the real energy often comes from the spontaneous conversations and shared curiosity in the room. These events are open to a broad mix of people including students, professionals, early-stage founders, and aspiring entrepreneurs. If you are specifically looking to meet only growth-stage or highly targeted founders, this may not be the right format for you. In that case, you might explore scale up dinners and socials for growth stage founders and operators.

The eChai Effect - In Their Words

"At DevX.Work, we’ve greatly benefited from our association with eChai. Their events and networking forums have connected us with high-potential startups, ecosystem leaders, and innovation-driven professionals — many of whom have become valuable partners, collaborators, and even clients. What stands out most is the openness and accessibility of the community — whether you're an early-stage founder or an experienced entrepreneur, eChai provides a welcoming space to learn, collaborate, and grow. It's more than just a network — it's a catalyst for real, collaborative growth. We’re proud to be part of the eChai community. Highly recommended for any organization aiming to grow within the startup space."

“You don’t plan to build a company via eChai. You just keep showing up … and one day, you realize you did.” I’ve known Jatin since 2012, when I was still deciding what kind of second innings I wanted to play as an entrepreneur. Over the years, through events, chai breaks, intros, and seemingly small conversations, eChai helped shape not just Upsquare but also refined the lens through which we see collaboration. At Upsquare, we’ve hired talent, met partners, discovered co-investors, and built lifelong friendships. One of our joint ventures exists today only because a casual eChai memory sparked a deeper trust. Now, as we build House of Starts — our venture builder — eChai continues to fuel our mission: co-creating a shared future. eChai isn’t just a startup network. It’s a trust network. And for business builders like me, that makes all the difference."

"If there’s one phrase that sums up my journey, it’s truly ‘The eChai Effect.’ Six years ago, I simply walked into my first eChai event, not knowing what to expect. The honest conversations, energy, and inspiration from founders and entrepreneurs struck a chord within me. That eChai spark became the catalyst for everything to follow. I proudly say: my entrepreneurship journey started—and keeps evolving—because of eChai. Redicine Medsol’s story is integrally linked to this community. I’ve gained so much, not just as a founder but as a forever volunteer and grateful member of the eChai family. With all my heart, thank you Jatin Bhai and everyone at eChai for shaping, guiding, and supporting my dreams. The eChai Effect will always be a part of my story."
