Twelfth India Innovation Summit
“The Spirit of Innovation - Celebrating the Entrepreneur”

The theme of the 12th Innovation Summit is “The Spirit of Innovation – Celebrating the Entrepreneur” and it reflects the current mood and context of the younger population in the country. This theme strives to address the spirit of an innovator, the trigger for doing something different and the zeal to make it is as a scalable business in spite of numerous challenges faced by the innovator both at the personal level and ecosystem level. It takes much more to be an entrepreneur than coming up with an interesting idea as an innovative thinker. It is somewhere along this journey, the innovator in the person transforms into an entrepreneur in terms of overall mission market, and model.

The event addresses the journey of different entrepreneurs across various sectors in India to unravel the motivation, purpose and impact and therefore celebrate the spirit of those innovators. There are many nuances in the lives of these entrepreneurs, and there are many types of successes or failures; ups and downs and lessons from these trials and tribulations.

It is a great learning experience for anyone to listen to these inspiring stories of grit, determination and perseverance to achieve audacious goals. The events and actions may differ by the stage of their journey as well as the scope and sector of their operating arena and those contrasts make them an interesting study of innovation models.

The theme covers the industry verticals of Hospitality, Digital media, Transport, Finance, AI/Robotics, Cleantech, Food & Fashion and Healthcare. These industries form the core of the innovation areas in India today, and the players include startups, corporate outreach programmes, venture capital, consumers, and government. The entrepreneurs are drawn from these sectors across various stages of their journey of innovation and entrepreneurship for sharing their experience and insights.

The eChai Effect - In Their Words

"I have evolved from role of Community Builder to Startup Consultant to Startup Ecosystem Enabler to Angel Investor and now launching a Venture Studio and eChai has been a catalyst in my overall journey as Startup Evangelist since 13 years."

"For me, eChai is a second home. I've been associated with it since the early days, when it was already setting a different tone for how startup communities could work. As a traditional business owner entering the new-age D2C space, eChai supported me in every direction. Over the years, it became my window to the startup world — and also gave me lifelong friends who continue to show up, for business and beyond."

“You don’t plan to build a company via eChai. You just keep showing up … and one day, you realize you did.” I’ve known Jatin since 2012, when I was still deciding what kind of second innings I wanted to play as an entrepreneur. Over the years, through events, chai breaks, intros, and seemingly small conversations, eChai helped shape not just Upsquare but also refined the lens through which we see collaboration. At Upsquare, we’ve hired talent, met partners, discovered co-investors, and built lifelong friendships. One of our joint ventures exists today only because a casual eChai memory sparked a deeper trust. Now, as we build House of Starts — our venture builder — eChai continues to fuel our mission: co-creating a shared future. eChai isn’t just a startup network. It’s a trust network. And for business builders like me, that makes all the difference."
