Sabarmati Prerna Yatra

Happened on July 28, Thursday, 2016
1:30pm — 10:30pm (GMT+05:30)
Mahatma Gandhi Ashram
Event Details:

The river Sabarmati has been historically significant to the people of the world’s largest democracy viz. India. The Father Of The Nation – Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, spent a considerable amount of time (1917-1930) along its banks at Sabarmati Ashram. It was here that he developed the Gandhian concept of the Charkha (a symbol of self-entrepreneurship), which alone, he believed could help the nation protect it’s bio-diversity and provide sustenance to the poorest of the poor! His movement for charkha was aimed at building a new economic and social order based on self-sufficient non-exploitative village communities of the past.

In line with the Mahatma’s vision as above, Serve Happiness Foundation takes pride in announcing the launch of a one-of-a-kind revolutionary 4 days yatra –Sabarmati Prerna Yatra – a journey to evolve and inspire the youth by connecting them with the real heroes of Sabarmati region. We believe this journey would inculcate happiness in the youth as they stride along to spread the light of joy in the society and the world at large!

We believe this yatra is unique for it is deep into the travels that an individual gets to know not only of his strengths/weaknesses but has a profound effect on his overall thought process, perceptions, peacefulness and happiness. We firmly believe that after experiencing a 4 days yatra of ours, the youth gets inspired to undertake lot of smaller initiatives in the social and business spheres and act as a catalyst to solve problems and bring about a positive change and happiness in the society as such.

The eChai Effect - In Their Words

“I have no hesitation in saying that my association with eChai has been a gateway into the startup ecosystem. Through this platform, I’ve had the opportunity to connect with many young and dynamic entrepreneurs. These interactions have been immensely enriching - I’ve learned a great deal and have always tried to offer guidance whenever approached. It’s a truly symbiotic relationship that I deeply value, and it wouldn’t have been possible without eChai.”

“eChai has been that turning point in my journey. It gave me a platform when I wasn’t looking for visibility but needed direction. Over the years, it became more than just a network. It became my tribe; a place where conversations sparked collaborations, and strangers became trusted sounding boards. What I value most is how effortlessly eChai brings people together - no airs, no filters, just genuine people with shared dreams. I owe a lot to this community and to Jatin, whose consistency and belief in people have shaped journeys like mine. Forever grateful to be part of something so real.”

"If there’s one phrase that sums up my journey, it’s truly ‘The eChai Effect.’ Six years ago, I simply walked into my first eChai event, not knowing what to expect. The honest conversations, energy, and inspiration from founders and entrepreneurs struck a chord within me. That eChai spark became the catalyst for everything to follow. I proudly say: my entrepreneurship journey started—and keeps evolving—because of eChai. Redicine Medsol’s story is integrally linked to this community. I’ve gained so much, not just as a founder but as a forever volunteer and grateful member of the eChai family. With all my heart, thank you Jatin Bhai and everyone at eChai for shaping, guiding, and supporting my dreams. The eChai Effect will always be a part of my story."
