Social Entrepreneurship: Starting off right
UnLtd Delhi and International Innovation Corps have come together to bring players from across the social entrepreneurship ecosystem to talk to and work with the up-and-coming social entrepreneurs on key areas for success.
UnLtd Delhi is an incubator for early stage social entrepreneurs providing them with hands-on coaching, seed-funding and connections while IIC is an year long fellowship administered by the Harris School of Public Policy that brings together graduates from the University of Chicago and Indian universities to work on development projects with Government partners.
The workshop will have two Sessions
Session 1: Understanding Theory of Change
The objective of this session would be to build an understanding of ToC: what it is, its value, and how to create and use one. Young entrepreneurs should leave the session with a strong ToC, either a revised version of an existing ToC, or an entirely new version.
Session 2: Legal Incorporation of Your Organization & An Overview of the Funding Landscape
Part 1: Registration and Licensing
To provide an overview of the different options for registration for social enterprises, including how to register and what the drawback of each type of licensing could be.
Part 2: The Funding Landscape
To give up and coming entrepreneurs an understanding of different funding sources and what each kind of funder looks for in the investee/grantee.The panel will comprise of members from start-up incubator, angel investing, impact investing and a grant making institution.
