Building <div>Ms. Romita Ghosh is the Founder-CEO of two healthTech companies.&nbsp;<br><br>Romita’s tryst with healthcare started when she was diag- nosed with Stage-2 Cancer. After entering remission, she has been sanguine about helping those who have been less fortunate than her. Her first step was to dive into Cancer-Research but a zealous desire to see tangible changes in Patients’ lives made her shift from research to the Industry. A serial entrepreneur since then, she has founded, burnt, learnt and started up again.&nbsp;<br><br>MedSamaan is her award winning fourth venture through which she intends to create a positive and lasting social impact by making medical devices accessible and affordable, irrespective of regional, social or financial standing.&nbsp;<br><br>Her work in this field has taken her across the mountainous villages of Spiti to the hinterland of Uttar Pradesh. She is a healthcare research fellow at IIT Hyderabad and is being ably support- ed by UN Women, myGov and US Dept of State. The Cherie Blair Foundation for Women, En- trepreneur magazine and HerStory have featured Romita’s work.&nbsp;<br><br>Romita won the Most Inspiring Woman Entrepreneur Award at the Orange Flower Awards 2017. She was also awarded HT Woman 2018 by Shri Yogi Adityanath Hon'ble Chief Minister, UP. Romita was also honoured by eMERG with the Startup Entrepreneur of the Year Award and also won the Planet’s Pride Award. Her latest foray into design innovation made her one of the 3 winners selected by MyGov, UN Women and EU at the Shri Shakti COVID Challenge.&nbsp;<br><br>Besides holding a double majors in Biotechnology and Biochemistry and an MBA in Biotech- nology Management, Romita is also an alumnus of IIM Udaipur and Welingkar School. She is qualified Tech Entrepreneur from Stanford and is also an accomplished photographer of in- ternational repute, having been featured by CNN, ND Awards and Feature Shoot magazine.&nbsp;<br><br>Romita has been playing an active role in India’s Startup Eco-system. She is a National Thought Leader at CIMSME, a Business Mentor at TheGreater50 initiative by FICCI and Presi- dent of India-Germany WICCI Business Council. Her strong advocacy of STEM Education and gender equality has seen her being invited as a Keynote Speaker/ Panelist at multiple fora na- tionally and internationally.&nbsp;<br><br>As a Woman Change-Maker in South Asia, Women’s empowerment is close to Romita’s heart. She is a signatory of Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) and is a member of the Review committee for Her&amp;Now - Empowering Women Entrepreneurs, on behalf of the German Min- istry for Economic Cooperation and Development. As a woman entrepreneur breaking the proverbial glass-ceiling, she has been inspiring women to follow their passion.</div>
