Sometimes, the best ideas don’t begin with a problem statement. They begin with an observation.

Today, at our usual eChai Ventures meet-up, a small group of founders and operators got together to do what we usually do - talk, brainstorm, question, and share what we are working on.

The table was full of interesting experiments.
Someone was building and launching a new website.
Someone was building their own AI Chief of Staff.
Someone was figuring out how to make better use of their LinkedIn network and extract meaningful connections from it.
Someone was building a product for internal use.

And then something happened that stayed with me. I was discussing performance marketing with Viraj Rajani from Digipple and Amish Trivedi from Upsquare - something I had been curious about and wanted to understand better. We were exchanging perspectives, challenging assumptions, and brainstorming.

And Jatin, who was observing the conversation, picked up something completely different. He saw a pattern.

He thought: if people in this community are constantly working on specific problems and looking for people who have already solved them, are solving them, or can help solve them, why not create a platform for the community around these very conversations?

And just like that, an observation started becoming an idea which, by the way, also went live before we wrapped up our conversation for the day :

#eChai_Founders_Date : A platform within the community where founders can connect around something they are actually working on - exchange context, find the right person, and create value for each other. Check it out here: https://echai.ventures/dates

That was perhaps my biggest takeaway from today. Innovation doesn't always mean inventing something nobody has thought of before. Sometimes, it is simply:

Observe → Connect the dots → Reframe the problem → Build a solution.

And this ability to look at an ordinary conversation and see a scalable opportunity is perhaps one of the most underrated traits of an #entrepreneurial_mindset. Keep observing. You never know which conversation might contain your next big thing.

Learning is bigger than a classroom. Sometimes, the city itself is the lesson.

At Narayana Business School, we believe that building a holistic personality requires more than academic knowledge. It requires students to understand people, places, cultures, histories, and the world around them.

As part of #Genesis - our flagship orientation program, we take our students beyond the campus through an immersive Heritage Walk of Ahmedabad, introducing them to the living history, culture, architecture, and character of the city they will call home.

This year marks the sixth year of this tradition. Ahmedabad, a UNESCO World Heritage City, becomes our classroom as students experience the city not merely as residents, but as curious observers and learners.

Our endeavour is not to build a singular personality, but a holistic one - someone who can think deeply, appreciate diversity, understand context, and engage meaningfully with the world.

I have been fortunate to be a part of these walks over the years, and while I missed being there this time, it was wonderful to see the tradition continue with the same spirit.

Peaceful Natural Vibes. Less crowded (even on weekends) and driven by art and community.

Usually I go there to have good conversation or a peaceful work from cafe.
