I’m Swaminathan, a Class 12 student from Bengaluru and the founder of Athyrel.
I haven’t followed the conventional path of working at established companies yet. Most of what I know has come from starting with a problem I could not stop thinking about, teaching myself whatever was required, speaking to people in the real world, getting things wrong, rebuilding them, and continuing until the idea became something people could actually use.
Athyrel is the first product I have taken from a rough thought to a live platform. I have worked across the product, movement-analysis logic, athlete experience, cloud deployment, and early conversations with coaches, academies, physiotherapists, and performance professionals. What began as an attempt to understand a single performance has grown into a much larger belief: an athlete’s story should not disappear when a session ends, a coach changes, or a season passes.
I care deeply about overlooked potential. I believe India does not lack talent—we lose too much of it because development is inconsistent, context gets forgotten, and people are often noticed only after they have already succeeded. I want to build systems that help athletes and the people supporting them understand what is changing, preserve what matters, and make better decisions over time.
I’m still early, still learning, and still building. But I care about this problem enough to keep going far beyond the point where it would have been easier to leave it as just an idea.
