Tim Vinopal

I’m an entrepreneur and operator who enjoys getting inside growing businesses, understanding what is holding them back and helping build what they need for the next stage.

I currently lead ForestFoods, an agroforestry and food business in Kenya, and founded Lionheart Lifting, a patented fitness equipment company selling in the US and UK. Across both, I’ve worked through the less glamorous realities of building companies: raising capital, building teams, developing technology and operating systems, launching products, managing supply chains, entering new markets and figuring out how to make the economics actually work.

Increasingly, I’m bringing that experience into other profitable, growing companies at a senior level. I’m particularly interested in businesses that have found something that works but are reaching the point where growth creates new complexity. That might mean sharpening strategy, fixing operating structures, building accountability, developing new revenue opportunities or simply helping leadership work through the problems standing between where the company is and where it wants to go.

Before becoming an entrepreneur, I worked in enterprise strategy and customer growth in the US and served as a US Naval officer and nuclear engineer. I later completed my MBA at the University of Cambridge.

I’m based in Cambridge and particularly interested in meeting founders, investors and operators who are building ambitious businesses. I enjoy conversations about the actual problems of building companies and am always happy to be useful where I can.

I build businesses and help other founders build theirs. Currently growing ForestFoods and Lionheart while developing a senior executive and strategic offering for profitable companies navigating their next stage of growth.
