Mr. Anay Mashruwala is an Entrepreneur by profession and an Academician by passion.
He is the Director and Promoter of M/s. Venus Engineering Works, a company in the field of manufacturing and marketing of industrial valves. Mr. Mashruwala has over 14 years of entrepreneurial experience and played a versatile role in taking his organisation to an international level. He also Director at Krishna Interiors, a home furnishing and interior designing company.
Along with his entrepreneurial journey, Mr. Mashruwala is also involved in startup ecosystem and is closely working and mentoring startups from last 6 years. He is a Head Coach at Incubation & Innovation Centre, the Incubation centre of Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) and has been deeply involved with the startups and the entire incubation process. At IIC, he is working to build an Agile Incubation Centre, which is disruptive in every sense and aims to genuinely create value for the incubatees rather than trying to build another profit centre for a University run managed and operated by Students of PDPU. The idea is to make the incubation centre self-sufficient but not at the cost of the incubatees. In last 6 years 100+ PDPU IIC startups have won more then 200 national and international awards; applied for more then 150 IPRs; created more then 3500 jobs; raised 100 Crores plus and have a cumulative turnover of more than 50 Crores.
Anay is also currently associated with CIIE, IIM Ahmedabad Incubator as a Design Clinic Expert engaging with grow stage and mature stage start-ups to solve their pressing strategy related problems.
Apart from Start-up eco system he is a part of an international Body of Facilitation Experts called “THE VALUE WEB”-India Chapter and as a part of this team has already facilitated Action Seminars, and Design Shops for Various Government and semi-government Bodies and Universities for visioning and policy setting at various prestigious forums including VIBRANT GUJARAT 2017. Earlier, he was a Professor in the field of Entrepreneurship & Innovation at Ahmedabad University for 6 years and also served as Coach at Venture Studio, the incubation centre at Ahmedabad University. During this sting he was pivotal in establishing and enhancing Ahmedabad University’s association with KEIO University Japan, Centre For Design Research Sanford University, Judge Business School Cambridge University, Olin College Of Engineering.
Anay has a vast experience in the field of entrepreneurship training and has been one of the Master Trainer for National Entrepreneurship Network – Wadhwani Foundation. Anay has been awarded Best Entrepreneurship Faculty Award by National Entrepreneurship Network in 2016. Anay has also conducted Startup Weekends, a 54 hours hackathon by Techstars and Google. He has taught students from premier institutes such as KEIO University & Yokohama university Japan; Boston University; Carlton University from and at IIM A, S P Jain Institute of Management; IIT Mandi; Nirma University, Ahmedabad University, CEPT, PDPU, ICFAI, to name a few.
Anay has an MBA from Nirma University, BE in Mechanical Engineering from Pune University and a Degree in Law from Gujarat University apart from various National and International Certifications in areas of quality, Management and Inspections.
