More about Kunal Varma
Kunal is the Co-founder & CBO of MoneyTap - India’s first Credit Line app. He is a serial entrepreneur and has founded two other companies before MoneyTap.
In his previous avatar, Kunal was the Co-founder and CEO of Tapstart (formerly Skillwiz), a job discovery platform for consumers. It touched the lives of more than 300K consumers in less than two years of launch and exited in 2015.
Kunal bootstrapped and started Aspirare around 2010 as a services business in the learning and assessments space, which eventually moulded into Tapstart. Before that, his venture was offering other Marketing Services for SMEs. Both these ventures were profitable with positive cash flows.
Kunal has gotten his hands dirty on every aspect of building a business - right from product development, engineering, inbound marketing, sales and business development, customer service, operations and fundraising.
Before starting his entrepreneurial journey, he spent more than seven years in the field of technology and R&D, building next-gen semiconductor products for wireless and handheld devices. He worked in engineering management positions at Texas Instruments. Kunal did his B. Tech in Computer Science from IIT Roorkee and holds an MBA in Marketing & Strategy from ISB, Hyderabad. He is a restless soul, a fitness buff and a foodie.
