I’m Aniket Singh, a first-generation lawyer and the founder of Astreus Legal, a New Delhi-based law firm that I started building in 2025.
My professional journey has been a mix of litigation, legal research, writing, and building things from the ground up. I have worked in the Supreme Court and under an Advocate-on-Record, gaining exposure to litigation and the practical side of legal practice. I have also worked in legal education and research, where I handled legal research, bare-act analysis, content development and examination-oriented legal work.
Over time, I realised that I wanted to build something of my own rather than follow a conventional legal career path. That led me to start Astreus Legal. We work across areas including criminal litigation, civil and commercial disputes, matrimonial matters, banking and finance, contracts and business-related legal requirements.
What I’m trying to build with Astreus is bigger than a traditional law firm. I want it to become a practical legal partner for founders and growing businesses, someone they can approach before a legal problem becomes a dispute, and someone who can stand with them when it does.
Right now, I’m particularly interested in connecting with founders, entrepreneurs, professionals and other people building businesses in India. I’m learning how to build a law firm as a business: developing relationships, understanding what founders actually need, building systems, creating useful legal products and finding better ways to deliver legal support to growing companies.
I care a lot about building something meaningful from the ground up. I’m still early in the journey, and I’m not pretending to have everything figured out. I’m looking for conversations, collaborations, mentors, founders and people who are also building, because I believe some of the best opportunities come from simply being around the right people and creating value for each other.
