What does the startup ecosystem in Mysuru look like?

It is an industrial and research ecosystem more than a venture backed one. IT services and SaaS lead by company count, but the city's distinction is hardware, with Kaynes Technology in electronics manufacturing and a medical devices cluster around Skanray and S3V Vascular. Underneath sit CFTRI and the defence food laboratory, which give Mysuru a food science bench few cities its size have. Most of the smaller companies here are bootstrapped or early stage. Why is Mysuru called Karnataka's second IT hub?

Because of the Hebbal belt north of the city.
